Giansiracusa tips Giants to outperform Suns

Experienced Western Bulldogs player Daniel Giansiracusa has claimed that the AFL's rookie club Greater Western Sydney will progress at a greater pace than Gold Coast.
GWS played their opening match of their first ever AFL season on Saturday night against the Bulldogs and impressed everyone with their strong showing.
At one point during the match, the Giants were in a position to draw the game and although they ended up losing it by five points, it was clear that they are better than their rivals' expectations.
In Wednesday's post-training interview, Giansiracusa said: "Comparing them to Gold Coast at the same time (last year) I thought they were further in front in terms of the defensive aspects of the game."
In 2011, the Suns were the newest members of the AFL, just like the Giants are now. The sophomore club managed only three wins in their inaugural AFL season last year, but Giansiracusa believes that the Giants will fare much better in their debut year.
Talking about Saturday's game, he added: "They flooded back really well to help out their defence and there was a counterattack there from them as well. Whether they can sustain that throughout the year because of how long the season goes time will tell but they have a lot of good players. Once they get going they are going to be good for a long time."
Western Bulldogs are 251.00 to be AFL champions this season, with Geelong 12.00 and Collingwood 6.50.
