Campese named Raiders captain for 2012

Canberra Raiders have announced that their new captain for the 2012 NRL season will be Terry Campese.
The 27-year-old five-eighth will also have the help of David Shillington and Brett White, who have both been named the club's vice-captains for the new season.
Campese becomes the successor of Alan Tongue, who had led the Raiders for five consecutive years in the NRL before bowing out of the game at the end of last season.
He is a boyhood Raiders fan and has spent his entire career with them. Therefore, the chance to become the captain of his beloved club means so much more to him.
After being unveiled as the Raiders skipper, Campese said: "I love the Raiders and I'm extremely honoured to be named captain of the club I have been a part of since my youth. There's been some magnificent leaders in the past including the most recent in Alan Tongue and I hope I can continue on from where he left off."
The Raiders gave Campese his NRL debut in 2004 and since then he has made himself an indispensable part of the club's starting line-up. He has played 96 matches for Canberra and has scored 23 tries in the past seven seasons.
Wests Tigers are 11.00 to win the 2012 NRL Grand Final, while Newcastle Knights are 51.00 to emerge victorious. New Zealand Warriors can be backed at 13.00.
