Flannery to call time on Saints

St Helens forward Chris Flannery has revealed he plans to head back to Australia at the end of the current Super League campaign.
The 31-year-old’s contract at Langtree Park expires at the end of the season, with the second-rower planning to head to his homeland to hang up his boots with his young family.
However in the meantime Flannery is aiming to guide the Saints, who are 7.50 to win the Grand Final, to the Super League title after they came runners-up in the competition last year with a 32-16 Grand Final defeat to Leeds Rhinos, who are 7.50 to retain their crown.
The former Sydney Roosters star is determined to bring some silverware to Langtree Park in their first season at their new ground.
He said: "We're going to go back to Australia after this. We've been over here for four and a half, nearly five years now.
"We've got a couple of young kids so it's time to get back to Australia.
"Hopefully, I'll have a big year this year and finish it off in the right fashion."
