Dwight Howard's 18 points and 18 rebounds were not enough as Orlando were edged 89-87 in an overtime loss to Atlanta.
Josh Smith dropped in 23 points and grabbed a season-high 19 rebounds as the Hawks picked up their second straight to move two games behind the Miami Heat in the competitive Southeast division.
Miami had no issues with the Washington Wizards travelling to the nation's capital and coming away with a 106-89 win. The loss was Washington's 22nd of the year, one better than the Charlotte Bobcats who could only muster 64 points in a rout by the Chicago Bulls.
Derrick Rose rested his back and wasn’t remotely needed as Joakim Noah led the way for the Bulls with 17 points on 7-of-9 from the field.
The Toronto Raptors pulled the upset of the night jumping out to a 12-point first-quarter lead over the Boston Celtics and maintaining it for the 86-74 win at the Air Canada Centre. DeMar Rozan led all scorers with 21 points and Jose Calderon handed out 14 assists as the Raptors sent Boston to their second straight defeat.
The Magic are 7501.00 to win the NBA Championship while the Hawks can be backed at 7501.00.
